Internationally renowned Model Masha Rudenko is based in Hamburg & New York. She was born in Russia, studied gemology and has a diploma of  “expert of diamonds”. She loves art, photography, music and movies. She loves to travel and claims that she particularly loves her bookers. We met in Berlin for a fashion shoot and I took the chance to slamdunk her into a little Interview:

MC: How did you start your career?

MR: I was discovered on Elite Model Look contest when I was 18. I went there to support a friend from school and made it to the final as number 3 …then I went to Moscow, Paris, Milan, Tokyo and London …and here my adventure of a lonely girl traveling the world has started …I’m so thankful to be a model and to do what I truly love …to express myself and to work with the most talented people to create beautiful images.

MC: Do you have another life besides modeling?

MR: yes, I love art! And I’m working with the very talented team “box 8″  with an amazing artist Peter Eaton Gurnz on a world tour exhibition called “Cirk” that means from russian “circus” …its the different moods, faces, costumes – being lost in myself and who I am …to laugh when I want to cry …being a strong, little girl with an adult body  …or maybe I’m just a clown? But I know for sure that I still am a child.

I’m in love with this idea and we create all of the stories and characters, every work carries my sentences how I was feeling about every image.

The preview show was on the 18th of april in California at Mellisa Morgan gallery in Palm Dessert, the big show will be next in St-Barths in August, after that in Paris and all other cities and countries! It’s so much work! And my amazing team “box8″ works hard to make it happen! It takes 3 months to make only one piece! But its breathtaking! I’m very excited!

So this is the begging of my other business…

I have another amazing idea, but I cant share it yet:)

MC: You are traveling a lot. Is there any place where you like to say: “This is my home“?

MR: I feel like at home everywhere It’s funny but I do! I have great friends everywhere so every time I go to a different city I feel very welcome and comfortable! But my home is New York City, I have my best friends there and my little cosy apartment with the most comfortable bed and all my facial masks, creams and pajamas!

MC: What does “success” mean for you?

MR: It’s when you do something with your heart and believe in what you’re doing and from this comes out something amazing that jaws fall and people love it!

MC: What is the destination of your journey?

MR: My destination …hmm… I don’t want to have an end to this journey! I want to do what I love as long as I can and life will stop me when it’s needed. I want to have a beautiful family and kids and still to do what is my passion…then I will be very complete.

MC:Can you describe yourself in one sentence! Who is Masha?

MR: …Just a good person.
